ORTHODONTICS FOR TEENS
We recognize that every teen is unique
An orthodontic treatment for one teen may not be a good fit for another. When it’s time for full orthodontic treatment, our orthodontist can help you find the option that is right for your teen and family.
We want to help your teen achieve the best, most functional smile and bite with an orthodontic option that fits your family's needs and lifestyle. Some of our patients will need braces, while others opt for clear aligners. Some may need elastics (rubberbands) during treatment, while others need a bite corrector or jaw growth guidance. Some may simply need a retainer.

Unless early treatment is needed, the most common time for orthodontic treatment is typically between the ages of 11 to 14. Aside from wisdom teeth (third molars), the permanent teeth have erupted into place by this age. During your first visit with us, our Zionsville Indiana team will walk you through each step of the process and you'll meet your orthodontist, Dr. Godley. We will take photos, appropriate x-rays, and provide an evaluation to help you understand if orthodontic treatment is needed, and how it can change the face, jaws, and smile.
